Electric vehicle charging cables are applied to connect electric cars to the power supply. It is one of the critical devices of the electric vehicle conductive charging system, where its performance will directly impact the safe and reliable operation of electric vehicles.
Generally speaking, there are two application modes for electric vehicle charging cables: one is to be placed on the car and used in different situations with the vehicle; the other is to be placed on the charging poles in roads, shopping malls, parking lots, hotels, garages, etc.
Connection method 1: The charging cable is installed inside the car. Due to the battery box's limited space inside the electric vehicle, this connection method is relatively rare. The charging cable installed inside the vehicle, which belongs to the car's internal use, is restricted by the car company, and whose requirements for the charging cable are relatively high.
Connection method 2: Car charging cable can be used alone. The charging cable has a two-way plug to connect the electric vehicle to the AC grid and uses a separate movable cable assembly with a vehicle plug and a charging plug.
Connection method 3: The charging cable is connected to the charging pile. Cable assemblies and charging plugs permanently connected to power supply equipment are used to connect electric vehicles to the AC grid.
Regardless of the connection method, the electric vehicle charging cable may be affected by adverse conditions such as sunlight, weathering, oil, humidity, freezing, etc. It is likely to be bent and dragged during use, which will inevitably cause the cable to scratch damages such as abrasion, crushing, etc., all of which inevitably have higher requirements for the flexibility, flexibility, and mechanical properties of the charging cable.
